Senior Cook

Responsibilities: 

• Understand the basic food handling, Hygiene and sanitation standard
• To follow all the instruction given by direct superior and the head chef in general
• To assist all the chefs in rolling the operation, cleanliness, inventory listing
• Cook and prepare a variety of food products as directed by the Chef De Partie and generaly by the head Chef.
• Understands and complies consistently with the standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
• Portions of food and products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
• Prepare at any station required.
• Inform supervisors when supplies are getting low or equipment is not working properly.
• Assist cook with various tasks as needed.
• The above main duties or not exhaustive, and there may be additional/other ad-hoc duties deemed fit by the management

Period:

• Permanent

Location: 

• Telok Ayer, Boon Tat Street

Working hours: 

• 5 Days work week including weekends and PH
• 9-10 hours per schedule (split shift including weekend)

Salary: 

• Up to $2300 + VB

Requirements: 

• No prior experience in kitchen work required, though it will be an added advantage
• Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends and on public holidays.
• Pro-active, keen to learn, self-motivated and the ability to work independently.
• Candidates who can start immediately will be at an advantage.
