Assistant Principal Engineer (Safety Assurance)

Responsibilities:

• Perform safety analyses such as Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis on products to derive the safety mitigation or requirements to ensure safe use throughout its service life
• Prepare and present products safety case for trials and introduction-into-service to safety boards (internal and external) for review 
• Participate and present in formal design reviews with customers to report on the safety program status, analyses, problems and accomplishments
• Generate safety documents throughout the development phase of the product in accordance with the company management systems and through audits ensure compliance with statutory and accredited standards is maintained
• Lead and assist PMT on system safety matters throughout the development system life cycle
• Monitoring, reviewing and approving the system safety activities in a timely manner, where applicable and to ensure that safety complies with contractual requirements

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical/ Electronic/ Mechanical engineering discipline
• Knowledge of MIL-STD 882 or any international or industry safety standards will be beneficial
• Knowledge of performing Environmental Impact Assessment will be an added advantage
• Good written/ verbal communications and report writing skills
• Persuasive and able to influence others' points of view
• Self-motivated with good social interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently without much supervision.
