Japanese Translator (Corporate Banking)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Translation of documents relating to Head Office Applications, reports and related documents , and ensuring it complies with MAS requirements and department’s English Translation Procedure Manual
  • Consult with Relationship Manager (RM) about accuracy, arrangements, and the details of translation of Head Office Applications and reports as well as related documents
  • Conduct World Check screening and data update in terms of compliance check/risk evaluation
  • Support RMs in any other duties as assigned by Department Head
  • Support Assistant RMs in their operational tasks on an ad-hoc basis

 

Period:

  • Permanent

 

Working Hours:

  • Mon to Fri, 8.50AM – 5.30PM

 

Salary:

  • Up to $4,500 + 3 months VB
     

Location:

  • One Raffles Quay

 

Requirements:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in business translation, preferably in Banking industry
  • Native Japanese language capabilities or JLPT N1 certification will be advantageous as candidate needs to translate documents in Japanese to English and vice versa
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Meticulous and ability to work under tight timeline
  • Good time management skills and can handle multiple workstreams concurrently
