Occupational Therapist

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing client care, performing therapy execution and client education activities to an assigned group of clients.
• Performs continuing education and research to achieve quality client care.
• Conscientious in providing therapy recommendations based on evaluation of the client’s condition.
• May work in various settings within company ranging from special schools to employment or training and development
  centres.
• May also work as part of collaborative, interdisciplinary teams which may include teachers, training officers, psychologists, social workers, physiotherapists and speech therapists.
• Manage risk and quality
• Perform clinical administration and operations
• Participate in continuing education and research activities
• Initiative and be sensitive to the needs of clients.
• Provide supervision and team development
• Should possess communication and problem-solving skills.

Location:

• Queenstown

Working Hours:

• Mon to Thu: 8.30am to 6pm
• Fri: 8.30am to 5.30pm

Salary:

• up to $5000

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy from an institution recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council
• Experience working with persons with autism, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is preferred
• AHPC Full, Restricted or Conditional Registration
