Social Worker / Associate

Job Responsibilities:

• Trained to assist in managing interventions and programmes, performing community development work and uplifting the professional practice in Social Work.
• Guides multi-disciplinary teams to implement and evaluate casework and group work and also organises strategic community development initiatives, programmes and research.
• Conducts casework and group work as well as implement and evaluate community development activities and programmes to address service gaps in the community. 
• Assists in coordinating casework, group work and community development activities and programmes, supporting community events and performing administrative functions.
• Serves as a mentor to social workers and supports their professional development and provides supervision to his subordinates.
• An experienced professional who is insightful, responsible and possesses the willingness to mentor, he/she must works in institutional settings, communities, social service agencies and hospitals.
• Collaborates with other agencies and ministries in the course of work.
• A team player who is committed and service-oriented, the Social Worker works in institutional settings, communities, social service agencies and hospitals.

Working Hours:

• Mon to Thu: 8.30am to 6pm
• Fri: 8.30am to 5.30pm

Salary:

• up to $5000

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Social Work, Social Services or related fields / Bachelor Degree or Graduate Diploma in Social Work recognised by the Social Work Accreditation and Advisory Board (SWAAB)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Social Work supervision or 
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Social Work practice
• Qualify to be accredited as Registered Social Worker-Provisional (RSW-P) with SWAAB
