IT System Engineer (W)

Responsibilities:

• Report to the Team Lead/Service Delivery Manager and in fulfilling SLA and KPI in accordance to maintenance contractual agreement
• Assist Team Lead/Service Delivery Manager to deliver contract obligation within budget
• Operate and thrive in a dynamic work environment where you are required to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
• Liaison with procurement and equipment vendors
• Perform routine Preventive Maintenance in accordance with the maintenance instructions / procedures
• Carry out Corrective Maintenance in accordance with the maintenance instructions / procedures, involving fault troubleshooting, diagnosis & replacement of software/equipment/module/component at sites and/or workshop
• Provide engineering services such as engineering reports, supply support, configuration control and management and obsolescence management
• Provide solutions to technical problem associate with IT systems
• Ability to install/configure/backup & recovery/manage/troubleshoot servers (MS Server, VMWare and Linux), clients, storages, SharePoint and network related issues with relevant IT security standards
• Arrange and attend monthly meeting with customers
• Attend training provided

• 2 years contract

Salary:

• up to $6,500

Working Hours:

• Monday – Friday (8:30 – 6pm)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Computer Engineering/Computer Science, IT, Networking and/or equivalent
• Minimum of 2-3-year experience in a similar engineering-related capacity
• Knowledge in managing and maintaining IT and networking equipment
• System knowledge and technical skill with experience on the following :
  • System: Microsoft Windows 7/8/10, Windows Server 2003-2019, SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010, MS_SQL, Office, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Services, FTP
  • System: Red-Hat, Linux
  • Virtualization software: VMware
  • Networking Equipment: Firewall, Routers, Switches
  • NAS Storage: SAN Storage, NetApp Storage
• Good diagnostic and fault solving skills
• Positive work ethics and team player
• Takes ownership of responsibilities
• Thrive in multi-disciplinary and cross-functional environments
• Able to work effectively in an indoor/outdoor environments
• Knowledge on “know how” to perform clients and servers hardening, OS & software patching will be an added advantage
• Knowledge in Networking, Microsoft System Administration, SharePoint, Red-Hat, Linux, VMware and Storage functions will be an added advantage
• Preferably with experience in System-Level Maintenance in the following disciplines is highly preferred (Networking, computer/servers and Storage function)
