Job Responsibilities:
• Assist Crew Manager in crew management activities;
• Plan, organize and manage day to day crewing personnel functions in compliance with crew department policies and procedures;
• Assist Crew Manager to carry out screening of job applications from candidates applying for onboard service;
• Coordinate with Technical or Marine department and arrange interviews for suitable candidates applying for the post of engineers / deck officers;
• Checking of Manning Levels in relation to the Safe Manning Certificate & Safety Equipment of each vessels, ensuring compliance at all time;
• Maintaining updated crew list of each vessel at all times;
• Maintaining updated personal, medical and training records and certification details of all seagoing personnel; Monitor of documents and licenses validity for all ranks onboard;
• Prepare pre-joining checklist to check and verify essential documents;
• Coordinate and ensure all crew members completed familiarization briefing/training before travelling to board the vessel;
• Manage the process of personnel mobilization and demobilization (travel arrangement, visa, hotel accommodation etc.);
• Interact closely with manning agent for personnel scheduling and nominate ports for relief;
• Ensure relevant details are passed to manning agent in order they can carry out logistics administration for seagoing personnel; especially in the case of changing vessel prospects;
• Liaise with port agents to ensure smooth logistic arrangement for incoming and outgoing crew;
• Assist to manage performance evaluation and career progression of all seagoing personnel; maintain copies of the reports;
• Report to Crew Manager when any non-conformity is identified; take corrective actions against the non-conformity found in Crew Department;
• Assist Crew Manager to arrange for support, maintenance and repatriation for crew members who have landed ashore for any reason.
• To sight invoices received from agents for Crew, travel/accommodation, visa etc. and to verify and approved as appropriate before forward to Finance department for processing;
• Assist Claims department to collate all evidence, reports, receipts etc for any crew claims;
• Correspond with vessel flag administrations for crew related matters;
• Other work assigned by superiors from time to time.

Requirements:
• Diploma & above in Maritime studies or related field;
• Deck officer / Marine Engineer (min. Second Officer / Second Engineer)
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience and knowledge in crew management;
• Basic HR management;
• Good team player and able to work independently under pressure;
• Good computer skill;
• Good interpersonal skills and positive attitude;
• Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
