Finance Officer (Financial Services)

Job Responsibility:
Activities including but not limited to the followings:
1. Helpdesk
- Address, resolve and provide solutions to queries received through emails, calls and training/briefing sessions.
- Follow up with GROs on queries raised, if necessary.
- Compile all queries received including categorization of the answers provided and update on a regular basis.
2. Training/briefing
- Attend Training Sessions conducted by the process owner and assist to answer questions related to finance as and when required.
3. Creation and Confirmation of Vendor
- Follow up with GROs to provide complete documents.
- Review supporting documents and create vendors in system.
- To track and maintain the list of vendors created.
4. Fixed Assets
- Check Development projects in progress (DPIP) schedules and update
- (capitalize/adjust) fixed assets in the system.
- Print fixed asset labels for asset owners.
- Assist in preparation and collation of fixed assets reports during fixed assets count exercise.
5. Routine Finance Operations
- Create, manage and ensure accuracy of the grant tracking file for monthly reporting to management.
- Perform follow up on reported system issues, update relevant stakeholders and ensure there is proper closure.
- Assist with budget preparation on the monthly disbursement of operating grant.
- Exhibit versatility and able to take on ad hoc work arrangement such as being deployed to support manpower shortage at the various finance sections.
6. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor Degree relating to Finance field and at least two years’ experience in IT systems or as Finance Officer or Accountant; or
- May also consider candidate with more experience in the relevant accounting field.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.
Special Knowledge or Skills:
- Good understanding of SB FRS.
- IT savvy.
- Meticulous with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good customer service skills.
- A good team player.
- Good presentation skills.
- Able to multi-task.
- Able to meet tight deadlines.
