JOB PURPOSE
The Head, Business Development is reporting to the Managing Director and is responsible for:
• Driving the sales initiatives for all product and service offerings for company
• Leading the sales team to achieve annual sales targets
• Designing strategic sales plans, projecting revenues, monitoring sales performance and presenting sales reports to Management
• Conceptualise and plan the development of Professional Learning and Higher Learning, and the educational technology growth
• Engage in a shared vision among stakeholders on the critical role of technology in future learnings
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1. Specific (90%)
• Design and implement strategic plans to reach sales targets for business units
• Lead and motivate sales team to improve sales performance and service quality with customers and prospects
• Cultivate lasting relationships with customers to grow customer loyalty and increase retention and referral rates
• Develop and promote weekly, monthly and quarterly sales objectives
• Guide sales team to produce detailed and accurate sales reports
• Assess costs, competition, and supply and demand to identify selling prices
• Project sales volume and profit for current and new products
• Establish a performance monitoring system and sales training programme to build the capability of the sales staff
• Meet with sales team leaders to assess performance and provide coaching
• Analyse trends and propose new insights and strategies as needed
• Work closely with other Divisions (including Student Services and Academic team) to ensure meeting of sales quota, healthy sales pipeline, good customer service and retention
• Overseeing curriculum development, program evaluation, allocation of instructional materials and resources, ensuring that curriculum is current and addresses the Core Curriculum Content Standards with regards to Enrichment and Professional Learning content
• Serving as a role model for students and staff, demonstrating the importance and relevance of learning, accepting responsibility, and demonstrating pride in the education profession
• Establishing the annual master schedule for instructional and co- curricular programme, ensuring sequential learning experiences for students are consistent with company’s philosophy, mission and instructional goals
• Reviewing financial statements, termly reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas for continuous improvement
• Protecting confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and exercising discretion in sharing such information within legal confines
• Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by identifying opportunities for staff to attend relevant workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
• Overseeing the development and execution of industry-related PD and students’ Online enrichment programme to better support students’ learning. Exam-oriented coverage, content knowledge and assessment consultations
2.2. General (10%)
• Perform other functions as necessary or assigned by Reporting Officer.
• Assist Reporting Officer in any projects or tasks in relation to company goals and objectives.
• Participate in management meetings and school-wide events.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
(a) Academic Education / Training / Experience
● Degree in Business Administrative, Marketing or related disciplines from an internationally recognised university.
● Degree in Education or in a teaching subject from recognised universities would be an advantage.
● Minimum of 10 years of working experience in a sales or sales and marketing role, preferably with strong managerial and administrative track record in education institutions.
● In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and best practices
● Knowledge of the education sector and Cambodian market is an advantage
● Understanding and having knowledge of the Singapore Education System.
