Job Responsibilities:
- Head the operations of local/global new product introduction (NPI) projects
- Provide mentorship to Procurement Engineer or personnel from other departments
- Oversee implementation of local/global inter-department system/process enhancements
- Manage the effecting of procurement processes as well as controlling of resources and activities in the support of quality, cost, and delivery requirements at NPI projects
- Monitor products’ drift costs and the effecting of cost optimizations in key procurement areas such as strategies, supplier selections, inquiries, negotiations, and knowledge management on potential new technologies
- Ensure that procurement is compliant to pre-defined processes and required documentations, such as quality check related documents, are obtained and recorded
- Oversee the promotion of material status from stages of manufacturing freeze until series
- Responsible in deliverables of purchases and the achievement of target costs at NPI projects
- Driver in design to cost (DTC) or cost reduction processes via structural cost analyses, ensuring that target costs are feasible between suppliers and project adaptions
- Organize internal/external communications to align project developments and DTC measures
- Support section members in event of escalations
- Ensure the knowledge transfer of materials from products’ pre-series to commodity managers
- Planning and assignment of section resources in line with developments of the organization
- Effect assignments from higher management
Salary:
- Up to $8,000

Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of procurement and/or engineering related experience
- Skilled in project management, BOM/costing/engineering analysis, supply chain management & leadership skills
- Possess relevant experience from Original Equipment Manufacturer or Contract Manufacturer
- Able to lead cross functional/cultural projects and mentor Procurement Engineers
- Strong problem-solving skills and able to think out of the box
- Able to execute work with minimum error, learn from mistakes and proactive in improving
