Engineering Change Specialist

Role:
The Engineering Change Specialist is the central contact person for any engineering change, ensuring material and parts availability of manufacturing parts for production and service, and at the same time improving inventory management.
Responsibilities:
- Verification of ECP, in close cooperation with R&D Engineer, Project Manager, Production and Source members. Check for optimal feasibility and if necessary, make additions or corrections
- Responsible to ensure communications and system preparation for end-of-life of ECP impacted materials, planning and implementing measures to avoid / reduce material waste and additional costs, working with Commodity Managers, Operative Purchaser and Supplier Quality.
- Responsible for presenting impact of change to PSG with costs, lead-times, scrap risk & forecasted effectivity dates
- Communication of inventory reach and risks to Operative Purchaser & Commodity Management (prevent stock out)
- Escalations of any deviations to phase in / phase out strategy causing material availability or business risk
- Main responsibility for product change management and its implementation in SAP/Teamcenter including participation in PSG meeting / similar meetings
- Ensuring the availability of materials/parts within the scope of the technical change, in the SPQP phase (working with Supplier Quality). Assigned orders, material tracking and material release in Teamcenter
- Responsible for the communication and knowledge transfer of all relevant information on ECP and EOL topics to the Global Teams associated with ECP (within Source)
- PSG prioritisation and decision making of lead, PSG or Procurement Engineer – escalate where change outside of PSG capacity

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in Engineering change functions as well as cross-functional experience gained in supply chain related functions
- Possess knowledge in MRP/Teamcenter and Supply Chain Processes
- Able to organize and motivate members from cross functional teams, acting as Source representative in PSG
- Exhibits passion and positive attitude
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent
- Proficient in English
