Senior Engineer, Supplier Quality

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the Supplier Quality management Standards Guidelines and procedures, department budget, Training or coaching of employees etc.
• Map out supplier development plan with existing and potential suppliers
• Manage supplier part qualification process
• Analyse data quarterly to identify the risks and customize plan to continuously improve the supplier performance
• Perform audits on suppliers to ensure continued Supplier conformance to the quality system requirements
• Manage First Article approval of new parts and report to project team
• Develop inspection plan/instruction for incoming goods
• Perform preliminary deflect analysis on production or field returns and follow up with supplier for corrective and preventive actions
• Monitor supplier’s performance and drive supplier improvement to meet quality expectations
• Process and system improvement at the department and inter department level
• Develop new ideas and new technology to improve process or efficiency
• Continuous improvement of development process

• Up to $5,500

Working hours:

• Monday – Friday: 8.30am to 6pm

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
• Minimum 3 years experience, preferably in SMT background
• A basic understanding of high accuracy position control system principle, structure, major components, etc.
• A basic understanding of operation principles, constructions, key performance indexes of servo motors, drivers and encoders
• Understanding of construction and features of linear permanent magnet synchronous motors, how motor force constant, coil resistance and inductance may affect system performance
• General understanding of bandwidth and phase delay of a servo driver, interpolation, resolution and index of a linear or rotary optical encoder
• Preferably PCBA and cable knowedge
• Supply Chain Management skill. Preferably with ERP knowledge
• Able to adapt to the change in ramp up / ramp down volume
• Able to work and communicate with global colleagues and suppliers
• Required travelling to supplier at Asia
