Web Developer (Full Stack)

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver features and fixes within the sprints according to the needs of the product line within deadlines
• Work with Product Managers and Designers to build features with performance, reliability, and security in mind 
• Maintain code quality through intentional architecture, documentation and code review 
• Contribute actively to technical and product discussions 
• Build and deploy performant modern web applications in React, Redux, ES6+ 
• Architect and build efficient and scalable backend systems using Node and Express 
• Write high-quality code that communicates with upstream backend services via HTTP APIs
• Design and implement RESTful APIs
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
• Participate in code reviews
• Utilize design, coding patterns, tools and frameworks and methods to meet the team sprint objectives and the overall quarterly team objectives

Requirements:

• BSc Degree in Computer Science or related field
• At least 2 years of working experience in web development
• Experience with React, Redux
• Experience in designing and developing back-end services using NodeJS, GraphQL, supporting front-end stakeholders
• Comfortable with noSQL (MongoDB) databases and Github
• Proven architecture expertise at a multi-system level, writing scalable, efficient and clean code
• Experience in shipping web applications to production
• Good understanding of whole web stack, web protocols and web performance optimisation techniques
• Good understanding of the HTTP protocol
• Enjoy working in an Agile development environment and take initiative to improve systems
• Able to grasp complex concepts and communicate well
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment 

Nice-To-Have Traits/Experiences: 

• Experience building mobile applications with React Native
• Knowledge of Shopify web development and liquid templates
• Experience with AWS
