QC Technician

Responsibilities:

• Under the instructions of the Senior Supervisor (Quality Control), inspects and tests the conditions of various types of motors. Identify technical problems and ensure that all motors tested meet customer expectations and quality standards.

• Review motor and generator specifications and prepare test equipment for testing.

• Perform tests on motors’ initial and after servicing/rewinding conditions using test equipment such as the insulation tester and resistance bridge, winding surge tester and high voltage test set. Set up motor/generator for no-load test and monitor test parameters.

• Identify technical problems during inspection and testing procedures to ensure that the motor performance meets industrial practices and standards.

• Communicate problems and underlying causes of defects identified to Senior Supervisor (Quality Control).

• Support fitters and rewinders in the rectification of technical problems (vibration problems and core issues etc.).

• Perform basic checks and maintenance of test equipment to ensure that test results are accurate.

Working Hours:

• 5 days work week
• 8:15am to 5:30pm

Requirements:

• At least a technical certificate in Power Electronics or Electrical Engineering or Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Electronic

• Some hands on working experience

• Willing to work on site like oil and gas refinery, chemical plants, marine and heavy industries

• Able to work independently

• Possess class 3 driving license will be an added advantage
