Advanced Purchaser

Roles: 

• Coordinator to ensure material time-to-market for new product introduction (NPI) projects
• Timely procurement and tracking of materials until the completion of preliminary productions
• Organize actions for engineering changes to implement technical enhancements efficiently

Responsibilities:

• Vital information source at key NPI events
• Review material availability for preliminary productions
• Be abreast on common/new materials, their quantity requirements, and potential suppliers
• Creation of material orders, monitor their priorities, and ensure on-time deliveries
• In event of material shortages or non-conformances, etc; the planning of recovery schedules with timely escalations to inform and coordinate related departments
• Track engineering change requests and facilitate the flow of actions at related departments
• Support inventory optimization and material cost minimization (e.g. reduce waste by rework)
• Knowledge transfer to Operative Purchasers for transit from preliminary to mass productions

Period:

• 1 Year Contract

• Yishun

Salary:

• Up to $4,000

Working hours:

• Monday – Friday: 8.30am to 6pm

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma, preferably Supply Chain Management or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• Graduates with 2-3 years of relevant working experience are welcome to apply
• Pro-active with good communication skills, able to organize and lead meetings
• An eye for problem solving to think out of the box, able to be meticulous when need arises
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Advantage with experience in multi-cultural and cross functional projects
• Advantage with experience from Original Equipment Manufacturer or Contract Manufacturer
