Technical Architect/Associate

JOB PURPOSE

• Assist and supporting Lead TA to Research & Develop

• Being a member of the Architecture Committee in ONE to facilitate AC meetings with internal and external technical stakeholders and SMEs.

• Owns the technology relationships up to CxO level & supports technology thought leadership. 

• Collaborates, consults and provides ONE system standards, best practices and guidelines and overall architectural principles, frameworks, and standards in an engagement. 

• Drives research, case studies, and prototypes on leading-edge technologies and how they can be leveraged. 

• Develops POCs to evaluate new technologies and makes recommendations. 

• Designs and/or proposes enhancements to improve the performance, availability and reliability of the system architectures.

• Ensures that we are continuously raising our standard of engineering excellence.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for understanding ONE technical environment: Gathers business insights, and maps architecture and digital transformation solutions to the business outcomes

• Ensures architecture designs/deployments are optimal (in relation to the below),

  • Leverages and champions an existing architecture approach

  • Supports architecture design, resiliency reviews, and technical optimization

  • Helps to shape and enhance customers' requirements

  • Identifies, escalates, and works to resolve technical blockers

  • Adapts methodology and applies governance(e.g. Well-Architected Framework, Cloud Adoption Framework) 

  • Security baselines

• Responsible for Practice Development: Generates new ideas for changes and improvements to existing technologies, and processes. Drives Proof of Concepts 

• Experience in Cloud solution in GCP

• Hands-on experience and knowledge of one or more topics: DevOps, Big Data, Machine Learning, Serverless computing, Cloud Migration, Application Modernization, etc

• Knowledge of the latest technologies: Kubernetes, Kafka, cybersecurity, MSA, AI/ML, or Real-time analytics solutions

• Knowledge of at least one or more development languages such as Java, Python, and Node.js

• Experiences in various architect community activities (e.g., Open source contributions, technical meetups, webcasts, blogs, hackathons) is an added advantage

• Passion for evangelizing and presenting technical concepts to developers, IT management

• Desirable soft skills,

  • Good verbal and written communications skills

  • Able to work cohesively with the various teams

  • Show initiative and responsibility for the tasks under the ownership

  • Adaptive to changes

Period:

• 1 Year Contract (Convertible)

Location:

• Far East Square/Marina One

Working hours:

• Mon to Fri: 9am - 6pm

Salary:

• Up to $10,000 + Completion Bonus

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in IT related major

• Combined working experience in,

  • 4-5 years of related working experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies

  • 1-2 years of related working experience in the IT Architect role

• Experience in Google Cloud Platform / Microsoft Azure / Alicloud will be preferred
