Engineer, Procurement

Responsibilities:

• Leader of the Supply Chain representing the organization in ensuring the success of external supplier & manufacturer management
• Influent the organization with in-depth market situation and ensure supply competitiveness via costing/Quality/supply assurance
• Foster the supply chain commitment and relationship with Internal stake holder as well as external business partner
• Leading the Commodity management on behalf of the organization, across the full supply chain from NPI till end of Product life cycle
• Provide On Job Training to Commodity member or personnel from other departments
• Enhance and enforce process compliance and improvement within Source team as well as with cross functional team within region
• Support to optimize the team performance to meet departmental and organization KPI
• Development and implementation of the Commodity Strategy for Regional as well as to align with Global Commodity lead on Global strategy
• Lead and ensure the enforcement on Commodity strategy implementation, from NPI till end of product life Cycle
• Resume as Supply lead in maintaining Business relationship, supplier development and key liaison in representing the organization
• Develop and lead Cost initiative and responsible for negotiation with direct purchase and next tier suppliers where necessary, ensure competitiveness and contribution to the organization
• Lead Contract negotiation and overall management with supplier to ensure supplier compliance on Warranty/Quality/Inventory/Supply commitment are legally binded
• Lead the Source and supplier selection process, support Organization supply requirement or support R&D department on Technology scouting
• Close monitoring of industrial Market situation and Technology trend, scouting and introduce competitive suppliers, product innovations to enhance product portfolio
• Manage supplier base compliance and supply assurance and participate in problem solving
• Manage Supplier set-up and cost data management in ERP system, its accuracy and integrity
• Manage supplier First Article coordination from M235 onwards, and work with SQ and R&D on technical query and enhance part qualification
• Manage Commodity supply localization, liaison with Global site on stock balancing and allocation to ensure seamless supply transfer
• Manage with Operative Purchase on order planning and supply allocation, in alignment with Commodity strategy
• Manage supplier on ECR management and liaison on First Article qualification and Engineer change phase/cut in
• Manage product end of life management on supply matter
• Interdisciplinary working groups/project work to inform oneself, exert influence and optimize internal processes and procedures
• Support in management of New Product Development or Project, resume Procurement Engineer role where assigned
• Carry out other assigned tasks by the Manager

Period:

• 1 Year Contract (Renewable)

Salary:

• Up to $3,500 + Completion Bonus + Variable Bonus + Medical benefits

Working hours:

• Monday – Friday: 8.30am to 6pm

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain related qualification
• Minimum 3 years of supplier commodity or sourcing management, with engineering related experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with regional sites (cross-functional culture)
• Possess strong problem-solving skills and ability to think out of the box
• Ability to execute work with minimum error, and proactively improve and learn from mistakes
