Senior Network Test Engineer

Job Descriptions:

• Design, develop, and document test plans for products.
• Coordinate and participate in use case testing activities including test planning, execution, and reporting, documentation of e.g. test results, test reports
• Perform setup of network and test scenarios, both hardware and software components, and perform troubleshooting as needed.
• Collaborate with software developers in scrum team to execute acceptance tests and write auto test units
• Evaluate and recommend third-party test tools and other software/hardware products to aid in the system test effort.
• Attend and participate in system-level design meetings in order to address testing issues early in the software development process.
• Create testing tools and scripts as needed
• Provide training, documentation and support as required to operations staff
• Lab equipment, development servers and test beds management

• Monday to Friday: 8am to 5.30pm

Salary:

• Up to $7,000 + Performance Bonus

Job Requirements:

• Degree of Computer Science, Computer Engineering or electrical engineering
• Technical Knowledge and Skills
• IP-based networks with a CCNA certification or equivalent working experience with switch & router configuration and tooling
• 2+ year working knowledge of Linux and Bash
• 1+ year virtualization frameworks based in OpenStack like Windriver or VMware
• Understanding of IP network architecture and planning
• Be familiar with IP based networking and with protocols like IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, ARP etc.
• Experience with IP router performance testing and using tools such as Spirent etc.
• Ability to independently setup, troubleshoot and debug networks
• Experience developing and maintaining comprehensive system test plans
• Experience in test automation, be able to write test scripts in robot framework
• Background in RF/ Satellite communication concepts is a bonus
• Strong problem solving skills
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.
• Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Possess the ability to proactively drive technical solutions in a collaborative environment
• Strong documentation and writing skills
