Senior Engineer, R&D (System Test)

Responsibilities:

• Create test concepts that support optimum, systematic system testing
• Create (automatic) test procedures that support efficient system testing
• System test on systems comprising software modules, mechanical modules, electrical modules and mechatronic modules and the way in which they interact (process)
• Verify optimized procedures and functions in the SMD placement process
• Analyse cross-system effects, process malfunctions and incorrect behavior
• Conduct and support necessary tests at the customer's site (field tests)
• Create test reports and release recommendations for the pre-series audit and series delivery audit for all placement machines including all options and the station software and line software
• Depending on the main field of deployment, coordinate concurrent tests and rectify errors
• Investigate and check errors and problems that occur with our customers
• Conduct tests in the integration test and system test phases
• Create high-quality test specifications
• Support in determining the test status
• Active involvement in conducting the field tests
• Ensure that the test results are documented (test report)

• Up to $6,000 + Variable Bonus + Medical benefits

Working hours:

• Monday – Friday: 8.30am to 6pm

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering
• Possess 3 to 5 years‘ experience in SMT related or similar engineering environment
• Possess in-depth knowledge in the field of SMD placement machines and their operation, the SMD placement process and the demands of manufacturing as experienced by the customer
• Possess knowledge of the test process, in particular the software test process
• Depending on the field of deployment, possess technical expertise in at least one of the following areas: mechanics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, optics/vision systems, drive technology, control technology, field bus systems
• Possess a broad range of technical knowledge and interests
• Possess basic project management skills
• Possess knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management process
• Ability to work in a team and perform activities on system level, using an interdisciplinary approach and the capacity to contribute responsibly
• Possess enthusiasm towards innovation ideas
• Highly adaptable to changes in environment and scope
• Consistent in delivering quality work
• Ability to build rapport and develop close working relationship with Europe and Asia counterparts
