Section Head, Finance Operations

Employment Type: Contract
Monthly Salary:
6 months contract (convertible to perm)
Monday to Friday (8:45am – 6pm)

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily BAU for Finance Operations function and ensure smooth operations of the team
  • Lead the Payments & Cashiers teams to ensure timely processing of all payments and receipts.
  • Work closely with Financial Reporting Team on accuracy of data inputs.
  • Daily review & approval of journal entries to ensure accuracy and timely processing
  • Ensuring that all accounts and processes comply with statutory and internal rules and regulations
  • Liaise with bankers/financiers on remittance matters.
  • Liaise with brokers on settlement issues.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirement and enforcing policies, guidelines and procedures to meet MAS & SGX requirements.
  • Assist in coordinating and overseeing the overall conduct of audit exercise and liaise with internal and external auditors for completion of audit.
  • Plan and ensure smooth implementation of process improvement projects to achieve improved efficiency & cost-savings in daily operations.
  • Plan and manage the project team to ensure smooth implementation of new systems
  • Attend to ad hoc queries by clients and fellow colleagues
 
Period:
  • Contract (6 months)
  • Covertible to permanent (depending on performance and headcount availability)

  • Changi Business Park
 
 
Working Hours:
  • Monday to Friday (8:45am – 6pm)
 
Salary:
  • Up to $8k
 
Requirements:
 
  • ACCA/Degree holder in Accountancy
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in Securities industry
  • Ability to lead and work independently and diligently
  • Effective communication skill with all levels
  • Ability to work under stress and tight timelines
