Curriculum Designer

Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Lead and Project Manager to review the curriculum Transformation Exercise (CTX) series for each 3G Army Subject Matter Expert (SME)
• Conduct lecture, discussion and/or seminar to up-profile the instructors and trainers in the schoolhouse/TIs with balanced competencies in instructional and learning capacities, capable of exploiting technologies to achieve learning objectives
• Contextualize and conduct the CTXs. The desire outcome of each comprehensive instructional design process, incorporating 3G competencies, and matching them against appropriate instructional and learning strategies and infrastructure capacities
• Running the CTX for the TIs together with the embedded Curriculum and Content Development (CCDT).
• Support and monitor the curriculum transformation process done by the CCDT after each CTX is completed
• Supervise the development of the SAF Curriculum Framework, including the study and adaptation of new pedagogies that will be relevant to the SAF
• Work closely with all the other teams in LNMO and relevant stakeholders to make sure that the pre-defined stakeholders are informed about relevant aspect of the project
• Perform any other duties and participate in any other tasking mutually agreed with the authority
• Assist the CCDT in the TI to create and or design content and lesson plans by providing advise, inputs and offer recommendation to address:
• Shift from instructional to learning paradigm and unidirectional-instructional to interactive stimulating learning approach
• Values inculcation components such as National Education and Current Affairs  are inclusive as core curriculum
• Enculturate soldiership to embed military ethos and discipline
• Replace stove-pipe formal learning settings with wider knowledge, learning and performance architecture across the schoolhouses/TIs and the entire ecosystem in each services
• Appropriate instructional strategies, technology and infrastructural capacities are available to support the CTX

Period:

• 2 Year contract

Location:

• Bukit Merah

Working hours:

• Mon-Fri: 8.00am to 6.00pm

Salary

• $4000

Requirements:

• Possess a Diploma or equivalent in any management discipline with at least 1-2 years of related working experience.
• Possess Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) or equivalent or higher qualification by an accredited training or Institute of Higher Learning (IHL).
• Certificate in Training and Assessment or equivalent will be an added advantage
• Conversant in IT Applications for the development of training materials (i.e. Handouts, presentation etc)
• Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills in addition to strong public speaking skills for presentation and training groups of people.
